My name is Matthew Benson, I grew up in North Carolina and studied Visual Effects and Computer Graphics at Savannah College of Art and Design. At SCAD, I discovered my love of Houdini and procedural problem solving. This led me to Pixar Animation Studios where I contributed to eleven feature films. During that time, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of departments. All of my work in these departments has had a deep focus on using procedural workflows to solve technical issues as they arise. 

After leaving Pixar I continued to pursue my love of proceduralism in the tech space. I joined Synthesis AI a synthetic data startup. While there, I lead a complete rewrite of the character generation system, as well as contributed to solutions for a broad range clients.
